This Michigan State University alumni, still supported his schools colors. He had green carpet put in when he built. Unfortunately, buyers were not all from Michigan. The carpet really wasnt' that bad, I kidded him a lot about it. But it did narrow the buyer pool down. The whole house was painted, and new furniture and accessories were brought in, even though it was an owner occupied listing.
It sold in under 60 days in a down market!

Beautiful work Cindy! I LOVE what you did with the niches on the stairs. Very dramatic! You totally downplayed the green and neutralized it so that it hardly stands out at all. Great work!
Nicely done -- I am sure that the seller was happy to have his home ready for the next buyer. You did a terrific job.
Hi Cindy,
I think that carpet isn't too bad, especially with the slate floor in the kitchen. You did a great job!
Here's what our local fans are capable of:
You'll never know how many people I have talked out of, who want primary yellow on the walls, in this town.
My S.O. loves Green Bay. In leiu of decorating our living room hunter green and primary yellow (ACK!) I have agreed to wear a cheese-head hat when the games are on. I'm in charge of horsdeoeuvers (spellcheck ain't a workin'!) , and I have to make them and serve them wearing a large wedge of cheese on my head.
It's so worth it, not to have a GBP color scheme in the living room.
I'd wear that cheese wedge all over town to prevent that from occuring! (Don't repeat that!)

As an MSU fan, I didn't see a problem! LOL!
I love to tell the story of the consult I did where the owners had the basement completely done up with Ohio State Buckeye memorabilia. Jerseys, posters, flags, beer mugs......the whole nine yards. I can't think of a worse thing here in Michigan! He was stunned when I told him EVERYTHING had to come down.
