With Hurricane IKE's destruction of things for me personally, will not be one I ever forget, Katrina, and Rita was still too fresh in my mind for me to ever concieve of the possibility IKE's eye would pass over my house.
But all is ok, and I wanted to thank everyone that called, and emailed, and even offered your homes if I needed it.
I also appreciate my friends on ActiveRain for the emails.
I am truly grateful, and hope that you will call me if you are ever in need of help.
You see what most people don't realize is that when you have something like this happen and you lose power you have no idea what is going on around you or how bad things are. You rely on the radio, or cell phones to call your out of town friends for information, and updates.
Thanks to all my clients for all your help and information.
My Best To All Of You!
Cindy

I hope that you faired well and no damage occured to you, your family and your home.
Being without power is one of the most frustrating experiences that you can go thru. You are relieved that you are OK and frustrated that you can't go about your normal life.
I always do things like work in the yard. Organize my office or staging supplies just to prove that I don't need power to survive.
Then I go to the refrigerator and complain becasue all the food has been ruined.
Happy to see you are okay and I loved your Amazing Grace Post!! :)
Cindy, thank you showing us that in the face of adversity you appreciate your blessings. We should all react so in stressful times. We wish you blessings and an easy road back for Houston and yourselves. God bless.
Hi Cindy, I hope and pray that things are getting back to normal or somewhere close. God bless you
Cindy- I hope all has been worked out with your inventory and that you are the road back to "normal" in terms of every day life :) My prayers are with you.
