This is a redesigned Family room, using only homeowners existing furnishings and accessories. They were not selling, had friends coming in for weekend. The walls are paneled in Rosewood. And all of the furniture was very dark. The husband loves the paneling, and the wife said he would never paint over it. I found some really unique items, but the picture doens't do the room justice. There was definitely a lighting issue. To try and lighten the room, I found some white accessories, and placed on the bottom of the desk, against wall. For instance in the corner under the plant, is a wooden two-toned chess board set. On the coffee table is an old fashioned camera, on books, and a wooden ancient head on opposite side. Literally pulled from almost every room in house, teens room, master, baths, game room, kitchen, entry and hallway.

To everyone that commented, thank you for your kind words. And yes, the homeowners did love it, even the husband! Yes the color of paneling was unusual, and, the house was in S. Florida. Even more interesting, where everything is light and bright!

I think they moved there from MN! We have a lot of wood rooms too - the "up-north" look. I'm hoping it fades out of popularity sometime soon. It is really too much with the all log furniture etc.
