A vanilla house, was painted with SW Nomadic Desert #6107 the niche insets with SW Latte #6108. (can't tell by photo). The carpet was Green, so the goal was to accentuate the architectural details of the house that were getting lost. Everything blended well using all earth tone colors throughout.

What a dramatic transformation. Your use of color and accessories are stunning.
Joyce
Cindy ~ That looks great! I love the color you used and the accessories you put in the niches. I love the way you used that tall piece on the table; it draws my eye up right up to the niches.
Love the paint color, wonderful transformation and now the green carpet looks good.
Very nice use of color. It really does bring out the niches. Along with the items added to them it pulls your eyes in.
Cindy, I didn't even notice the niches in the first photo, the color and accessories really brought them out. Great job!
WOW - very subtle, too! It's not all about the stuff - Julie
I was going to say the exact same thing as Julie.
Latte is a little darker than Nomadic Desert, and that makes the niches appear even deeper.
Excellent use of color to whisper "value!" to the buyer.

Cindy - Fantastic transformation for very few $$. The first thing I noticed was how changing the paint color made the carpet color less of a focal. Love the paint colors - I use them often too.
Cindy, You did a wonderful job. Before you did not even notice the niches. Also like the art work over table and vase. Thanks for sharing you work with us.
Cindy, Cindy - Wow, how stunning with just the right paint and touches... I truly love your choices... God bless,
Cindy - Wow is right. This turned out fabulous and you should be extremely proud. There's a level of sophistication with your color choice and your selection of accessories. Great job!
Congratulations. Your post is being featured in the group Staging Before & After group.
Kathy
Cindy,
I have to agree w/ everyone above. I didn't notice the niches before either, great color choice and the staging items made a big impact!
HI Cindy,
I really didn't notice the niches either in the first picture. Very dramatic difference. I Stage in a retirement community that has this same model. I will be trying these paint colours soon and post a picture on my next opportunity.
Hi Cindy-
Now this feature of the house is highlighted and given extra value! Did you paint other areas of the house?
Looks Great ! The chair rail was lost and now it has added value! Well done as always!
The space looks so much warmer and lovely! Geat job Cindy!!
Nice niche! You've neutralized the accent pieces (no more red), so the carpet is not so green, now, and a lot more elegant. Great work, Cindy.
Wendy Casey - Vancouver, BC
I wish I had niches in my wall. My mother-in-law has these in her foyer and they really had a little something to what could be just a plain old foyer.
Everything looks great! LOVE the paint color! You did an amazing job!
The color really makes the stairway and spindles stand out in the second photo. Also glad to learn the trick about painting the niches slightly darker to make them appear deeper. Thanks for sharing!
Cindy,
The niches look great! A lot of the time people are challenged on what types of items to put inside these areas of their homes. You have shown that by keeping it simple you can feature the architecture as well as the piece placed inside the niche.
I love the paint colors and the accessories you used. Addressing the niche areas really made a visual impact. Too often, I feel, that those areas are left bare in staging and they really should not be. Beautiful as always!!
Very nice - your choice of accessories is really appropriate. Simple, but elegant... highlighting the niches and architecture the home has to offer.
Joyce-Thanks for the compliment.
Kathy-It does, thanks for pointing that out.
Shelia-It actually wasn't a bad shade of green, but buyers didn't like it.
Larry-Thanks for commenting!
Donna-Exactly, it was very vanilla.
Michele-I use these colors a lot around here.
Barbara-Niches get overlooked and are such a neat feature to have.
Cheryl-Thanks for commenting and stopping by.
Kathy-Thanks for featuring!!
Cynthia-True, and in the foyer it leads you up the stairs.
Michele-The colors have a very warm glow to them.
Kathy-Yes, the entire house was painted, it made a huge difference.
Chris-True, I wish the true colors had come out to show the difference.
Cathy-These colors have almost a glow to them.
Wendy-It would have looked like Christmas if Red was used...not good!
John-Thanks John, glad to help.
Michelle-Yes, it was simple, but still effective.
Tracy-These are the architectural details that we should be highlighting.
Lisa-Thanks, yes this house had some great details, but they were getting lost.
Green carpet.........ouch! Nicely done though with the paint colour.
Love your ribbon feature!
Love the difference paint can make...good post. It is always amazing that even if you can't do anything else, paint can change the look and feel of a room, a home and a buyer's impression.
Lisa-He was a Michigan State Alumni.
Cathy-Thanks, it's easy to do!
Terrylynn-I agree people just don't realize how much a little paint can do.
Paint is great and you did an excellent job at selection. Congratulations on a beautiful job. Michigan State Alumni hmmm.... I'm a U of M fan but I would never lay maize or blue carpet. Dumb boys (no offense to boy stagers)
