With the announcement of Starbucks Coffee Shops closing 600 stores nationwide today, Houston's java stops were not spared, actually only 10 will be closing as of the end of the year. Most are set to close by September 30th. There will be 57 stores in Texas that will close. I love Starbucks, but I think we'll survive!
The Houston area stores that will be closing are:
• 24406 U.S.59 in Rosenberg
• 20131 U.S.59 in Humble at Deerbrook Mall
• 10611 Bellaire at Wilcrest
• 3821 Shepherd at Farnham
• 14333 Westheimer at Briargreen
• 6400 Fannin at MacGregor
• 1018 Preston at Fannin
• 914 Dallas at Main
• 12503 Tomball Parkway at Antoine
• 6001 Interstate 45 at Red Ripple.

We are losing 4 in Northern Utah as well. I guess that the gas prices finally caught up to some businesses!
The one up the street from my office is closing. I forecast many sluggish and caffeinne-deprived real estate agents!
Not sure where you get your news Cindy, but this announcement was released by Starbucks quite a few days ago.
I like coffee, but I just don't get over to Starbucks very often (not that I don't like dropping $5 on a cup of water with some bean residue in it).

Tony & Darcy- It's either gas or just too many locations.
Steve- Their coffee does seem to have a little extra kick.
Cameron-Well, it might have been announced late last week, but USA Today, Rutgers, and many other news sources thought it newsworthy today.
