How do you do it?!

After being here for only 4 days, I can honestly say that home staging is exhausting! So far this week, I have tagged along for 2 complete home stagings (the houses were completely vacant and we had to fill them up), at least 6 trips back and forth to various storage units, 2 all-nighters, and probably about 30 hours of driving total. All that in 4 days! I think I get less sleep doing this than I do during the school year, which is saying a lot. All I can say to those of you who do this on a regular basis is, congratulations, you are truly amazing!

Sounds like you've had a busy week.  Keep on going and it will all be good.

I'm sure it is a lot of work!  However, the results will be worth it.  Hang in there!  :)

It CAN be very exhausting work - both physically and mentally. Balancing budgets and color schemes and spatial relationships AND people -- whew!  Maybe we should charge more :)

THis is very hard work, people just don't realize it. Initially it seems fun to an onlooker, but after a few hours they are wiped out. You will be a wiz at it before you know it. COFFEE AND LOTS OF WATER

As I was moving my last storage unit tonight while loading my car to stage a vacant this week I was thinking this same thought today! If only our clients really knew how much work it is just to complete one job. Maybe we should do a "secret life of a stager" show to really show what it's like.
