Super helpful information!  It's good to know where people spend money, then combine that with what they'll get in return when they sell.

As a builder I second the square footage cutback. It use to be a 2700 SQ AVG now its more like 2000 Sq.

Cindy, I think the square footage number can be related to adding rooms on the current house vs. a new purchase. I think the list is very accurate. People are not caring so much about the lock hardware and interior doors so much. The square footage cutback is true in the purchase category as well as people downsize their space.

Chip-Around here, the average is probably close to 3000sf on up.

Gary-I am seeing people wanting to downsize, you know how big the houses are in Texas.
