I stopped by a property that I had staged to get some after photos, (since it got an offer after being staged for 3 days, and previously on the market for a year-Yeah!). When I walked in the front door, I noticed that a vase had been broken, and was all over the place. Ok, not that big of deal, things get broken, then I proceeded through the house and noticed all the throw pillows had been tossed around, and the bed was disheveled. I know they haven't had an open house, because it got an offer so fast. Nobody alerted me that something was broken and things were out of place, it makes you wonder why and who. It just reiterates the fact that we have to check on our staged properties frequently, especially as the season is picking up with more people coming through. This was no biggie, and I would hope no one would think I would leave a home in this condition after staging. If you haven't checked your properties in a couple of weeks...get out there and make sure they are the way you left them.

Our lockboxes let us know who has been in the house. I would contact the last showing and find out if they came through with a bunch of kids. Such a shame that people won't fess up to damage.
I agree, I always find that curtains are dissheveled, towels are down from the racks and other items are knocked over. It is not always easy to check on the properties tho but always a good idea.
