I went to Winter Park last year in between Christmas and New Year's to ski, and little did I know it was the most expensive week to go. But I had already commited to go so, we got an awesome 3/3/2 that was fully loaded with amenities including 2 plasmas and had a great time. The rates went down almost 1/2 the price when we left. So this year, if you are planning on going, if you book now your lift tickets are cheaper and you can get 4 night lodging & lift ticket packages starting at just $335 a person if you book before October 14. Sure, Winter Park gets 300 of inches of snowfall each year, but it's only 67 miles away from Denver. And has an enormous amount of ski runs with Mary Jane sitting next to it. Also, new this year is North America's highest six passenger chairlift, the Panoramic Express, which offers access to the 12,060' summit of Parsenn bowl. Plus, 100 acres of newly enhanced intermediate terrain and two new trails. If your into night life this is probably not the spot for you. But if you are into relaxing and unwinding, this is the place to be.
