The South Shore Harbour Resort and Marina, on the south side of Clear Lake in League City will be hosting a wine and food lovers festival. It will be presented by the League City Chamber of Commerce and EM Marketing Co. Saturday, Oct. 20, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Pavilions will be set up and you will be able to sample wine from around the world. While sipping on some of these world famous wines ongoing entertainment will be playing for your entertainment.
There will be seven pavilions all with a different theme. A grape stomp competition begins at 1 p.m., there will also be a 5k-10k Run at noon with live entertainment beginning at 12:30. Cooking demonstrations by local well know chefs will be at 2, 4 and 6 p.m.
Admission to the South Shore Dockside Food and Wine Festival is $20 a person and includes a souvenir wine-tasting glass and five tasting tickets.

Is the festival on the 13th or 20th? I have seen both dates. Do you have a number for those that want to volunteer at the festival?
I don't know, that post was in 2007, I would call the number above. I haven't heard if it's taking place this year 2010.
