I wrote a post called "Colors that Appeal to Men vs. Women". The two colors that were appealing to both genders were blues and greens. If you haven't seen the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics... they nailed it with colors!
I'm so drawn to these fantastic colors and think they did a great job marketing to both females and males for not only graphics and design but for media, advertising and marketing. It is also perfect for depicting the scenery and colors of Canada.
With an International viewing audience and range of ages watching, I feel they have successfully covered the bases with the colors they've chosen.
How do you think they've done?

I agree. They did a great job. I loved the opening ceremony as well. It was very warm and welcoming, not mechanical and robotic.
Thanks Cindy, We often in sales not think to whom we are addressing our message and the effect the graphics We choose has on our clients.
Margo-I really enjoyed the graphics they used, very high tech.
John-There is a definite connection with people in colors, that's exactly why huge corps. spend so much on marketing teams to determine target markets, etc. when choosing colors for their brand.
Hi Cindy, We were watching the luge competition and I mentioned to my husband that I really liked the colors and designs and he agreed. Now I know why!
Shirley-Aren't they great? Great combo of colors. It works!
The blue-green thing has kind of a marine-eco feeling about it...outdoorsy, water...nature, etc.
Lovely ... and did you notice your shirt matches perfectly, Cindy?
Well obviously someone on the Winter Olympics Committee did their homework! They are very appealing!
That's marketing at it's best. Good for them. It's nice to see Canadian get some recognition, they are at times overlooked and under appreciated. And I should know I married one.
Every time I watch the Olympics I think how much do I love those colours. I guess it is the combination of water and nature ...
anyone remember when you were a kid singing ... " Blue and Green should never been seen only in a washing machine " ... I think it looks great all over the city of Vancouver!
These colours have worked great for the Olympic games. They represent the mountains and the ocean, as we are lucky enough to be surrounded by both. Our volunteer jackets are also the light blue colour, and surprisingly, look great on both women and men and are easily visible.
