Wow I never would have guessed torquoise. I have the yellow gold in my home but the grey? I am not so sure about that one. I am visuall and will have to see it in a model home before it grows on me.
I will have to say that the brilliance of the colors have been turned up for 2010. These will definitely have to appeal to the home owner who desires to personalize their home to their specific tastes. I'm still surprised that Turquoise made the list as it seemed that it was all the rage on accent pieces several years ago.
Cindy, they all look like great colors, except for the gray. In Oregon we get enough gray from mother nature, without adding it to the inside of our homes.
My daughter recently painted her kitchen grey which I thought would have made it either drab looking or too cool of a color for a kitchen. Instead, it looks smashing!
I have no idea how these trends are predicted
Best in 2010
your friend in Charlottesville!
Cindy -- Glad you noted these aren't for staging -- but rather for decorating! I had a gray kitchen back in the mid-80's and here it is back again!
Hi Cindy..thanks for your comment..these are great wall colors for the new decade !!
Cindy....I think GREY can look very sophisticated and stylish. I've started to see it used more and more in the Bay Area. And I never thought I would like it....but I REALLY love it!
So interesting, Cindy. Thanks for sharing those "hot" colors with us. I think colors real people like are often influenced greatly by the area of the world in which they live. For example, I don't know anyone who is rushing to paint rooms grey here in the already grey, rainy Pacific Northwest! Personally I love a warm golden yellow.
This is interesting. Sage green has been HOT for so long, I'm glad it will be getting a rest. How can I get a job like this... picking colors for the new year?
I just went bold and did our home office in turquoise. Very invigorating!! Great post Cindy!!
Cindy, I have to be honest those might be the most popular colors but when people go to sell their homes those are not the colors they want on the wall. Oh well I guess it is just paint and the sellers can re-paint in neutral colors before they sell.
While no one can hate neutral.... a little color and decorating flair is not the root of all homes not sold...
