Hiring a professional home stager can be overwhelming, confusing and a tough decision.
As a home seller what is most important to you?
As a real estate professional what is most important to you?
Here are some guidelines to use:
- Price
- Quality of work
- What you get for the money
- Portfolio photos
- Experience
- Statistics of DOM of home they have staged
- How many homes they have staged
- Referrals of past clients
- Training
- Insured
- Services offered
- Free Consultations
- Full-time vs. hobbyist
Please pick what you think is MOST important, then in order of importantance. You don't have to list all, just what you think is important.

As with any service professional, I think that one needs to be full-time to be of any value. Experience is also important. However, do not rely on years in the industry as a benchmark. Quality of work should be reflected in the final outcome. Price, while important, doesn't mean anything without results. Hope that helps.
Good points, both of you. I would hate to pay a lot of money without results. The trick is finding a good one that works for a reasonable fee.
James-Thanks for your input, I agree, and yes it helps!
Dennis-Home Staging is an investment, and shouldn't cost a bundle. Talk to your local stagers, and I'll bet you can find one that would work within your clients budget.
