Which Cell Phone To Use?

Motorola V3 RAZR (razer) Black Unlocked GSM Limited Edition Phone

I am currently using the RAZER, and have dropped it I don't know how many times, the window is cracked, and it's getting a little wonky to say the least. It still works but I think it may be time for a new one. Do I get another RAZER or a Blackberry? Do you really use all the features of a Blackberry, and is the increased rate for the service plan worth it. I have AT&T, the new (Cingular), and like the plan with the roll-over minutes, so I would like to keep that. Any recommendations on cell phones that are must haves that you love?

"Tastes Like" Biscuit Recipe from Major Restaurant

This recipe has been around for a very long time. Employee reveals secrets.

Serves/Makes: 8 | Difficulty Level: 2 | Ready In: < 30 minutes

Ingredients:

2 cups White Lily self rising flour
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup buttermilk
melted butter

Directions:
Working at Cracker Barrel, and making more biscuits than I care to count, I'm just wondering where the sugar and egg wash I have seen in recipes come into play. All we use is White Lily self rising flour, Buttermilk, and shortening. I cannot give you exact amounts, or anything else for risk of losing my job, but home testing comes to 2 cups flour, 1/3 cup shortening, and 2/3 cup buttermilk. We blend the flour and shortening together, then add in the buttermilk, mix for one minute (no smoothness and elasticity) then roll out and cut. I like to bake for 8 minutes at 450, and brush with melted butter when I pull them out of the oven. That's how I do it, and cannot say if that's how I also do it at work.

Possible Fire Hazard In Vacant Homes!

This is what happened to a candle that was close to a fireplace in a vacant home. I wouldn't have thought someone would turn the fireplace on in Houston in March or I wouldn't have placed candles there. I went back to take pictures, and this is what I found. The fireplace is turned on by a light switch, so I'm assuming whomever showed it, flipped on all the switches not knowing one was the fireplace. No telling how long it had been on, I thought the REA had lit it for an open house, but the wick is in tact. I soon realized it was from the heat from the fireplace not the burning of the candle.

To be safe I labeled the switch before I left and took out the candlesticks.

Just another lesson on possible fire hazards in staged vacant homes.

Hard Rock Cafe Shrimp Fajitas Recipe

1 pound medium shrimp, shelled
1 cup chopped cilantro
2 cloves minced garlic
1/3 cup lime juice
4 (9-inch) flour tortillas
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 large bell peppers, thinly sliced
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sour cream
1. Stir together shrimp, cilantro, garlic, and lime juice. Let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, wrap tortillas in foil and place in a 350 degrees F oven until hot (about 15 minutes).
3. Heat oil in a wide nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat.Add peppers and onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, until limp (about 10 minutes). Remove vegetables and keep warm.
4.Add shrimp mixture to pan, increase heat to high, and cook, stirring often, until shrimp are opaque in center; cut to test (about 3 minutes). Return vegetables to pan, stirring to mix with shrimp.
5. Spoon shrimp mixture into tortillas, top with sour cream, and roll up.
Serves 4

Olive Garden's Salad Dressing Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup distilled white vinegar

1 teaspoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons eggs, beaten(see Notes, below)

1/3 cup water

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup corn syrup

3 tablespoons romano cheese, grated

2 tablespoons pectin, dry and unflavored(see Notes, below)

1 1/4 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon dried parsley

1 pinch dried oregano

1 pinch red pepper flakes

Directions:

-Pour the vinegar, lemon juice, and egg into a blender; blend for 10 seconds, then allow to rest for 10 minutes.

-Add remaining ingredients to blender and blend on low speed for 30 seconds.

-Chill at least 1 hour before serving, the longer the better.

Notes: Mixing the raw egg with vinegar and lemon juice will kill any Salmonella present. You can also buy pasteurized eggs at many supermarkets. Pectin can be found in most supermarkets near the Jell-O® or with the Mason® jars.

This is not the exact recipe, but pretty close!

Do You Have A Tomb?

A couple of days ago, I got a call from a man that said he'd found me on the internet and wondered if I had a "tomb". Excuse me? was my reply. He said a "tomb" very mater of factly. I said a "Tomb", he said yeah a "tomb" for dead people. Uhh...then it dawned on me "Easter" was this Sunday. I said, Oh, you mean for an Easter play, he said yeah! Like he'd hit the jackpot. I replied, No, sorry, I'm fresh out of tombs. I'm not sure what tombs and home staging have in common, but I get the funniest calls for the most unusual things.

Dishelved & Broken In Vacant Staged Homes

I stopped by a property that I had staged to get some after photos, (since it got an offer after being staged for 3 days, and previously on the market for a year-Yeah!). When I walked in the front door, I noticed that a vase had been broken, and was all over the place. Ok, not that big of deal, things get broken, then I proceeded through the house and noticed all the throw pillows had been tossed around, and the bed was disheveled. I know they haven't had an open house, because it got an offer so fast. Nobody alerted me that something was broken and things were out of place, it makes you wonder why and who. It just reiterates the fact that we have to check on our staged properties frequently, especially as the season is picking up with more people coming through. This was no biggie, and I would hope no one would think I would leave a home in this condition after staging. If you haven't checked your properties in a couple of weeks...get out there and make sure they are the way you left them.
