Twins Split Up

These rooms were done "on the fly" using leftovers. We had not intended to stage them. This room had the homeowners original furniture in it from when she was a teen 30+ years ago. To be cost efficient I was able to split the twin beds up, paint them black and use them in two rooms instead of one. Both rooms were painted a darker color to warm things up. The buyer had kids with twin beds, so it showed perfectly for a family home.

The house had been on the market for 6 months and sold after staging it in 1 month.

5K Fireworks Fun Run And Walk-Clear Lake, TX

Register now for the 5K 4 Fireworks Fun Run and Walk the morning of Sunday, February 24th. This is a family activity that everyone can enjoy. You are welcome to walk or run through the University of Houston Clear Lake Campus. The Kids K will be at 7:30am and the 5K will follow at 8:00am. Kid Clutter To Super Simplistic

Kids had taken over the Game Room and had made it their craft room. After taking the table, clutter and other pieces out, it was turned into a very simplistic, minimalist room. I was able to use the benches as a much needed coffee table. Redesigned using the homeowners furniture.

Tortellini Soup~So Good To Be So Easy!

This recipe was given to me by a friend, and I tweaked the ingredients a little bit. This soup is always a huge hit. You can adjust the broth, garlic and tomatoes to your liking. Add more broth for more soup.

Ingredients

1/2 stick Butter

1-2 T. Garlic (minced)

2 cans (14.5 oz.) Italian style stewed or diced tomatoes

4 cans (14.5 oz.) chicken broth

1 Bag frozen cheese tortellini

1 Bag fresh spinach or 1 box frozen spinach (thawed and drained)

1 can (14.5 oz.) small navy or cannelloni beans

1/2 c. fresh Parmesan or pecorino cheese (grated very finely)

Saute butter and garlic, until brown. Add tomatoes, broth, and beans and simmer about 30 minutes. Add tortellini at end after adding spinach. Soup will be done when tortellini has risen to top. Don't let tortellini get too mushy and start coming apart. Serve in individual bowls and top with grated cheese. Serve with french bread.

It's even better heated up for left-overs.

Houston Aeros VS. San Antonio Rampage-Jan. 25-26

The Houston Aeros will be playing the San Antonio Rampage on January 25 & 26 at the Toyota Center at 7:35 PM.

The first 3000 fans will be given Hockey Visors on January 26. Come out and support our Aeros. These guys are amazing. The game is fast, exciting, with a few fights to surely break out, sometimes ending in a little bit of blood. But these guys are tough, and are use to the constant banging of heads. It's unbelievable that they are skating, but skating backwards, sideways and all over the place without looking is just mind blowing from someone that grew up in TX & Ok and didn't have Hockey rinks. My first game was in Phil. watching the Flyers, it was so much better in person than on tv. The crowd was a rowdy one, and really got into it. You gotta go watch these guys, you might be surprised at much you enjoy it!

Second Chance Pets-Houston Bay Area

The SCP (Second Chance Pets) is an organization that allows you to take in a dog or cat as a foster home until the animal is adopted by a loving family. The spring seems to be the the time of year that the SCP has an abundant amount of animals. The SCP have dogs or cats available every Saturday at the Petco store at Bay area Blvd. and the Petsmart store across from the Baybrook Mall the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month.

Stephenville, TX Reports Seeing UFO's?

Over several dozen people insist they saw a low hovering craft, metallic flat shaped objects and bright lights with fighter jets chasing after them last night in Stephenville, TX. People have reported seeing them for several weeks. The air force says no fighter jets were out last night and they don't investigate UFO sightings anymore.

A spokesman for the joint naval base said it could have been an illusion of two commercial aircraft.

Maybe experimental aircraft from a branch of our military, or NASA? You decide...

I say experimental aircraft, they just don't tell us about it.

GPS-I Got One For Christmas-Update

After much hinting around, I finally ended up getting a GPS for Christmas. Of course it was out of stock, so I just got it. And I love it! It is the best little device I have come across in a long time. I can't say enough good things about it. It does everything but drive the car. And I didn't even want the bells and whistles, but I got em anyway. What an amazing piece of technology. It's right on. And it's easy to use which is important. It has voice commands so you don't have to look at the screen which is key when your're in 6 lanes of traffic moving 75 miles an hour. This is going to be a real time saver. It's portable, or can be mounted on the windshield or dash. As far as I'm concerned it will pay for itself this week with all the driving I have to do.

This is the one I got and would highly recommend. The Garmin nuvi 200. Never leave home without it!
